Found bug what is it?1/2 inch long....?
...orange tri face, black wings,orange y shape in mid back w/black Y on top of orange.
This bug looks like half fly - half lady bug. bottom of belly is orange with black dots around its edge.
There are about 300,000 species of beetles, about 1 million of insects. And the estimate is that we've only catalogued about 15% of the total species.
We thought we had a pretty good count of them until some wise guy sent some anesthetic gas loose under a tree in the Amazon and about 90% of the insects that fell out of the tree were unknown species.
So it might be kinda hard to identify your bug.
