what code do i need to ring a mobile phone in Dublin from Belfast?
my friend has tried ringing my mobile phone number from Belfast, I live in Dublin does she need to add a code prefix, if so, can anyone tell me what dat is
It's actually to do with what country the phone (or rather the SIM card) is from, not which country you're using it in.
If you're using an Irish SIM card then your friend will need to use the prefix +353 (the plus sign, then 353) when dialling the number.
If your mobile number has a leading zero (i.e. the number is 0xxx xxxxxx... rather than 1xxxxxxx or 2xxxxxxx etc.) then she needs to leave that out as well. So to ring 0123456789, you need to dial +353123456789.
