No, nothing with infrared or wifi...The reason being that the amount of power received on the other end is negligible (it would never charge your battery because the losses will be much greater than the incoming charge for a given time).
However, there are some companies using induction for charging electronics batteries. Consider this: you have a induction pad, and all you have to do is to put your cell phone anywhere on the pad and it gets charged. What company you say?? Try looking at your next sonic toothbrush (should cost $80 or above)
