Should I get the Palm Centro, Blackberry Pearl, or the Blackberry Curve
I have sprint and my contract is up this month. I really want a smart phone and I would like some opinion on these three. Thank you
I would choose the curve. The keyboard on the pearl is a matter of taste, but in other areas the curve has the edge. For example it boots up faster and has a bigger screen, although the memory card slot is in an awkward place. Palm devices are okay and can be user friendly, but they tend to be outdated. As far as I remember the Centro uses Palm's own operating system, unlike many of their newer devices, which use Windows Mobile. Whilst the Palm OS is a pleasure to use, it hasn't been properly updated in years and the hardware features are also poorer than the BlackBerry devices. If you want to add third-party software you would also do well to choose the BB OS, because as a developing platform lots of apps are being written for it, whereas fewer are now being written for the Palm OS. If you are interested in getting the latest features, BB are bringing out the Bold in less than a month, and it looks like it will be MUCH better.
