Whats the best SNES emulator to get if you don't have a controller?
so i'm playing snes9x right now (which is great) but theres a few games that aren't working like when i press one of the buttons on my keyboard nothing happens (so i presume these games are only compatible with a controller?) anyway is there any emulator that would change this?
Oh and all the game files are .zip (i could unzuip them but is there any point?) and when there unziped they become .SMC , now since i can load the zip files as is to the emulator is there any need to unzip them? Hit me up if you got anything to share, thanks in advance

Snes9X is the best in my opinion.
Input is passed through to the emulator [that's the point of the emulator] so all games should work with the keyboard. Any game that requires some special controller e.g. Mario Paint, require additional configuration either with a plug-in or through the controller configuration section.
Any games that do not respond to input from the keyboard would need special configuration. If you check the help menu in Snes9X there is a whole section that lists Games that require special controllers and information on how to configure them There is also a known issue section which will tell you if anything needs to be tweaked for certain games.
As for .zip files you can unzip those if you like, there's no difference really in whether they are zipped or not, the ROM file is loaded into memory when played anyway so you would get the same performance either way. I have them unzipped.
