Assuming you mean it's locked on a specific network, PUK codes won't do you any good.
Depending on which network you use, you can call them and ask for an unlock code.
They might or might not provide you with one, depending on their policy, but either way you will have to provide them with your phone's IMEI number (most of the times you can find it on the inside of your phone under the battery cover).
If they don't want to give you an unlock code, there are lots of online shops that will calculate the unlock code for you after you mail them your IMEI number. This'll probably cost you around $5.
