My phone won't charge and I do not know why.?

I have an LG Banter from Alltel and ever since I got it back from being grounded it hasn't charged right. The only way it will charge is if I hold the charger in the phone. I know that my cell phone has never been dropped, but I do not know why it will not charge. Help, please? :)

Uhhhhgg that happened to me once but on a different phone. Something is wrong with either the charger port or the charger. You'll have to take the charger and the phone to a verizon store. (verizon bought alltel)
